A SHARED WAY OF SEEING

PIRATE GLAM began long before the first dress was created.

Its founders met while studying fashion design, brought together by two shared fascinations: the extraordinary beauty hidden in nature and a desire to create clothes beyond conventional construction.

A book became part of that beginning. Living Jewels – The Natural Design of Beetles by Poul Beckmann revealed an astonishing world of colours, structures and patterns, often invisible to the naked eye. It captured something that has fascinated us ever since: nature does not need perfection imposed upon it. It already possesses it.

At the same time, we were exploring another way of designing — draping fabric directly on the body, allowing shape to emerge through movement rather than convention.

Our inspiration was timeless: the effortless drapery of the Greek goddess. Feminine and sensual, yet powerful and free.

These ideas stayed with us and eventually became PIRATE GLAM.

The scarab at the heart of our identity is a quiet reminder of where our story began — with friendship, curiosity and a shared way of seeing beauty differently.

And our name carries the same spirit: the freedom to follow our own path, combined with a love of beauty, elegance and glamour.
